Dr. David Gaus, Executive Director of Andean Health and Development, just received the 2010 Social Entrepreneur Award for Latin America by the Schwab Foundation. He is currently at the World Economic Forum in Cartagena, Colombia, accepting the award.
The Schwab Foundation identifies and advances the missions of the world’s true innovators. This is great achievement for Dr. Gaus and for Andean Health & Development (AHD), who have started a model to build self-sustaining health infrastructure in Ecuador. AHD provides high quality care to patients today, while emphasizing the education of tomorrow’s Ecuadorian doctors and nurses.
