Matt Smith has had a wide variety of professional experiences, including sales of office equipment, business newspaper publishing, medical devices and private equity raising for real estate developments.

In 2000, with his wife Mary Caye, Matt founded SalesSmith, delivering branded products to promote employee retention and client loyalty. Today Matt works part time for Catalyst, but recently pivoted to selling for their construction division, whose primary clients are churches, private Christian schools, and nonprofits.

He is currently launching a website called The Grateful Connector, a quarterly publication for individuals over 50, who are inspired to make the second half of life even better than the first.

Matt has served on various boards and committees, including Make A Wish, United Way, ALS Association, Marquette University High School, Lutheran Home, Messmer Catholic Schools, the Ability Center, Seton Catholic Schools, Kinship, and the Meta House. He has a BA in Economics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
