We plan to add an intensive care unit (ICU) at Hospital Pedro Vicente Maldonado (PVM) to address the growing demand for beds from COVID-19.

We will admit patients referred from the public system and be paid by Ecuador’s Ministry of Health and Social Security Institute for these services. However, AHD will need to fund the renovation and start up expenses.

While the hospital already has some available equipment and staff, we must invest in the following items:

Construction Renovation………………..………………$19,000
Gas/Electric Installations……………..………………….$10,000
Additional ICU Staff for first 2 months………………$5,000
3 BiPap Machines………………….…………………………..$3,000
3 CV Monitors………………….……………………………….$2,000
2 Crash Carts…………………….………………………………$1,000

Please consider donating toward one of these needs to serve the country’s poorest people. Thank you!
