Tara Kenney is a senior finance executive with extensive experience in Banking, Asset Management, FinTech and Sustainable Investing. Her career as a banker and investor in the Emerging Markets has spanned nearly four decades. Tara is bilingual (Spanish), having lived in Latin America and worked globally with European, Middle Eastern, and Emerging Market Corporates, Pension Funds and Government Entities as a banker and investor. 

Tara is currently serving as an Independent Trustee for Fidelity Investments’ Diversifying Solutions Funds and is a member of the Audit and Investment Committees. She is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Notre Dame, in her fourth year, teaching a course on Impact Investing. 

Prior to this, Tara was a Senior Vice President for Boston Common Asset Management, a pioneer and leader in ESG/Impact Investing in public equities. Earlier, she was a Managing Director with Deutsche Asset Management, where Tara led the bank’s Institutional business in Latin America and served as a Portfolio Manager and Head of Emerging Markets and Latin American Equities for nearly two decades. 

In her near 40-year career, Tara was a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for Scudder Investments, one of the early investors in Latin America, as well as working for Bankers Trust where she led sovereign debt restructurings, project finance and capital markets transactions in Latin America. Tara began her career at the Inter-American Development Bank, and later at the Chase Manhattan Bank, where she completed the Credit Development Program and was involved in Latin American debt workouts. 

Tara has extensive Corporate Governance experience in Audit and Investment roles, having served on boards of corporate, non-profit, and academic institutions for the past 20 years. In addition to her work for Fidelity Investments, she is currently on the board of the Kellogg Institute at the University of Notre Dame and Catholic Charities USA. She also leads the Finance and Investment Committee for Accion International, a pioneer and leader in Financial Inclusion in the Emerging Markets, where she has served on the board for the past two decades. Tara received a BA in Government and Spanish from the University of Notre Dame and later studied Economics at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru. She earned an MBA in Finance at New York University’s Stern School of Business.
